those darn chili peppers

So this week I have really been trying to cook good/healthy meals, I've made...

Southwest Chicken Wraps

PF Chan's lettuce wraps

Zucchini- my favorite!
Lemon Chicken
All of the meals turned out really good (only because I called my mom every 5 mins) but today I tried Mexican Soup and the recipe called for 2 canned chili peppers.... I put 2 CANS of chili peppers in the soup and yeah it was really hot! Looks like we will be getting Little Caesars tonight : (

What's new

-Jer passes his insurance test!!!!! He has changed his major to Business and is now working at Allstate as the newest licensed agent. He is working full time, going to school full time, and set aside time to study for this WAY hard exam. I'm really proud of him!

- I'm taking the semester off to studying for my Radiology Technician test and looking for a job hopefully at an Orthopedic center. Lets hope I go back to school next semester?

-We upgraded our very small love seat couch to a... sectional that we love. We actually like watching movies together now.

- Kristi is now officially done with chemo and radiation. We are so happy for her and are thankful everything went well. We love her!!! For breast cancer awareness month, Riley's football team made her a really cute sign..

-We've also gone to a few Utah games. They haven't been doing too well but the most important thing is they beat BYU.

One Year Anniversary

On the 12th of this month Jeremy and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary... YAY! It has been such a great year, we have learned a lot about each other and I'm so grateful for the relationship we have. We went to St. George to celebrate and Jer surprised me with Jabbawockeez tickets in Las Vegas. It was a really great show and they are so fun to watch. Our first year married will definitely be a year we'll never forget!

This year was our paper anniversary so I made Jer a
book (paper?) of all the blessings we have.

Girls Camp

This past week the Freeport Branch had our girls camp, it really was so much fun! In our very small branch we had 19 out of 26 girls come, which is huge because there are only like 8 girls that come to church on a normal day. I really got to know the girls on a different level and light from just seeing them at church and mutual. I can't believe some of the challenges they go through on a daily basis. Not only does it make me feel so grateful for the life I have been given and the many many blessing I have, but it makes me feel like I need to help in some way. Many of the girls are not baptized, yet they are so interested and involved in church activities (and reading the BOM). I knew that at camp they felt love (something they don't get at home) and most importantly the spirit. It truly is amazing the strength and desire these girls have to find themselves and to find out the meaning of life. I am learning WAY more than I am teaching, but I know that is why Jeremy and I are here.

Pineview Weekend

This "weekend get away" happened like 3 weekends ago but I still want to blog about it so I dont forget! We spent a fabulous weekend with some of our best friends at the Hill's cabin (click Here for Mari's blog). It was really fun to get away and go boating for a few days. Lucky, no one got hurt and everything went smoothly until I thought we forgot to put the plug in the boat. If you forget the plug the boat sinks.... That scare only lasted about 15 mins when I made Jeremy get the truck and put the boat back on the trailer (took us all about 3 times) to see if the plug was in the boat. It was! Our funnest times were playing the card game scum until really late and night and the girls beating up on our husbands! The boys had fun golfing together in the mornings. It was a very fun and relaxing little trip and we will have to do it a lot more often.

Jer and Jase on the rope swing, I wish I had a picture
of Brooke up there, she took all day to go.

Atlanta, Georgia

Jeremy and I have always talked about going to Georgia to see his mission. As soon as we found out that Lauren (Jer's younger sister) had a volleyball tournament there, we knew this was the opportunity to do it. It was a great trip! We flew standby and with a group of 10 people we were nervous we wouldn't get to Georgia EVER. It ended up working out perfect and we got there so smoothly. Lauren is AMAZING at volleyball, she would never say that, so I will do it for her. Haha It was so fun watching her play, we're excited to watch her at UVU. I think volleyball is my new favorite sport.

Atlanta was so humid! I loved all the trees and the hills they call "mountains". It really was beautiful. The city is so confusing, I couldn't tell if we were going North or South, so thank you Garmin. We went to the aquarium which was really cool. They had a dolphin show and crazy sea creatures I didn't know even existed. Ryder absolutely loved it! The Coke World was Alex's favorite (she loves Coke). At the end of the tour we got to try every drink Coke has ever made, I think there were 60 flavors. Berverly was one in particular that was horrible, we made Ryder try it...

The best part of the whole trip was meeting Jeremy's mission President and seeing all the people he grew so close to for those two years. It was fun for me especially to meet all the people I heard about in letters. I know all those people will have a special place in his heart that will never leave and I'm grateful I got to see that.
